Latest Updates from Our Project:

Stretch Goal Unlocked, Dev Stream Wednesday, and Aeon’s End: New Age!
over 5 years ago – Mon, Jan 28, 2019 at 11:10:30 PM

As January draws to a close, we have reached an exciting milestone - we’ve received enough pre-orders to unlock the Into The Breach stretch goal! As of this writing, we’ve sold $2076 worth of pre-orders and add-ons, meaning Xae from One Deck Dungeon is coming to Gravehold. And even better, for the One Deck Dungeon players in the audience, Mist from Aeon’s End will be venturing to the world of Mynerva!

A new mage is coming!
A new mage is coming!

The Nameless

As of this writing, 832 people have pre-ordered The Nameless expansion. That’s very nearly half of the total number of copies that need to be ordered to get the expansion onto the development schedule. Remember to spread the word to Aeon’s End fans to guarantee a timely arrival of The Nameless!

Development Stream Wednesday

Work is progressing on the Aeon's End core game, and the Carapace Queen is already into alpha testing. This Wednesday, join John on our Twitch channel for the next Aeon’s End dev stream. John will be working on integrating more game content into the user interface.

The show starts at 1 pm Eastern on Twitch. If you can’t watch live, fear not! Twitch subscribers can always watch the replay at their leisure, or check out our YouTube channel for the rebroadcast next week.

A New Age!

Did you know that there’s more Aeon’s End coming soon to the tabletop?

More Aeon's End is coming!
More Aeon's End is coming!

That’s right, a new expansion (the size of War Eternal) is headed to Kickstarter soon. Designer Kevin Riley did a live stream with Board Game Revolution last week to chat about all things Aeon’s End, including some info on the new expansion! Follow them on Kickstarter to be notified when the new campaign is live.

Happy New Year from Gravehold!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Jan 09, 2019 at 12:09:44 AM

2019 has begun, and we’re hard at work on Aeon’s End! The Alpha testing team has begun putting the engine through its paces and much of the content is implemented and into testing. Since most of the work at this point is in the engine, there’s not a lot to show you that isn’t text-based, but we’ll be keeping you updated every couple weeks so stay tuned. We’d also like to hear from you about what you might like to see covered on future development streams. Comment below with ideas!

Stretch Goal Update

As of this morning, there have been more than $1750 worth of add-ons ordered via BackerKit. That puts us within $250 of the first new mage at $2000! All add-ons other than The Nameless expansion count towards this goal, as well as pre-orders so if you have friends that missed out on the Kickstarter, let them know that their pre-order can still help bring new playable characters to the game.

You can also add-on additional Steam keys for yourself if you want to give the gift of Aeon’s End to the deck-building fans in your life. Pre-orders save $4 off the retail price of the game, plus all add-on Steam keys and pre-orders will get the game as soon as it goes into Steam Early Access sometime in the next few months.

Just $250 to the first new breach mage!
Just $250 to the first new breach mage!

The Nameless

As of this morning, 802 people have pre-ordered The Nameless expansion. That’s 42% of the total number of copies that need to be ordered to get the expansion onto the development schedule. We always knew this experiment would be a “stretch” in the truest sense of the word, but there’s still plenty of time to pre-order. Tell your friends to pre-order The Nameless today!

Happy Holidays! Stretch Goal and Pre-Order Update
over 5 years ago – Tue, Dec 18, 2018 at 11:47:14 PM

We’re now full steam ahead on development of Aeon’s End! Our plan come January will be to keep you updated every few weeks on our progress. Watch this space for news on more development streams and information on the game as we head into 2019.

Alpha Testing Begins

Aeon's End has officially entered the alpha testing phase, and the Architect Edition backers who answered their surveys now have access. The alpha testing will be very active through the coming months as we build out all of the game's content. If you filled out your survey, make sure to check your email for instructions. If you didn't fill out your survey, please do so and we'll get you access (though it might not be until after the holidays). You should have received an email from BackerKit, but if you did not (or if it got sent to your junk folder), you can recover your survey via this link

Pre-Order Update

We’ve had lots of activity since opening up pre-orders last week. We’re pleased to report that over 700 people have pre-ordered The Nameless, which gets us more than ⅓ of the way to the goal, in just a week. Remember that pre-orders will remain open until Aeon’s End goes into Early Access on Steam, sometime early next year. Tell your friends to pre-order so we can get The Nameless onto the development schedule.

Stretch Goal Update

Outside of The Nameless, there have been more than $1000 worth of add-ons and pre-orders of the game, which puts us halfway to unlocking Into The Breach. If we can get to $2000, not only will Xae from One Deck Dungeon make her way to Gravehold, but Mist from Aeon’s End will head to One Deck Dungeon to join the Dungeoneer’s Guild!

Still curious about #3...

Mobile Update

We’re also pleased to report that (as of this writing) 477 Mobile Mages have completed their surveys. That means the tablet version of Aeon’s End is slated to launch just 11 days after its Steam counterpart. There are still some folks who haven’t filled out their surveys, so this number could still improve. Our thanks go out to all those who backed the campaign to show their support for mobile!

We are so excited to bring Aeon’s End to you in the new year. Thanks again for your support, and Happy Holidays from the Handelabra family to yours!

Surveys, Pre-Orders, and The Nameless!
over 5 years ago – Thu, Dec 13, 2018 at 12:45:00 AM

As promised last week, surveys are now on their way to your inboxes! BackerKit is the pledge manager we are using for this campaign. Once you fill out your survey, well have all the info we need to deliver your rewards. All delivery of rewards will happen directly through the BackerKit system and you will be notified whenever a reward becomes available on your dashboard. If you didn't get an email from BackerKit, or it ended up in your spam folder, you can recover your survey here.

In Search of The Nameless

The first expansion for Aeon’s End digital is now available for pre-order. This add-on is using a new feature of BackerKit which works just like a Kickstarter campaign. Pledge your $8, and if enough other people also pledge, The Nameless will be added to the development schedule. We need quite a few pre-orders to be guaranteed to make it right away, but the pre-order period will last for several months. You will only be charged for this add-on if we reach the goal. Just a few hours in and we're already over 10% of the way there!

From now until Aeon’s End goes into Steam Early Access next year, backers can add-on to their pledges, but more importantly, folks who missed the campaign can pre-order as well! All pre-orders of the game include the content from the stretch goals we already unlocked - Promo Pack 1 and Promo Pack 2.

The pre-order store is now open!
The pre-order store is now open!

Tell your friends to pre-order to save some money on Aeon’s End and help us make the first expansion! Plus, with enough pre-order and add-on sales, several new mages could still join the fight to save Gravehold!

Wait a second, who is that?!
Wait a second, who is that?!

Pre-orders of Aeon’s End, as well as any non-expansion add-ons count towards these stretch goals. As of this writing, there’s already over $250 worth of pledges! If these goals are achieved, these mages will be included in the game for free! We’ll keep you updated in the coming weeks and months with the running totals for these stretch goals.

Funding Success and Stretch Goal Reorganization
over 5 years ago – Sat, Dec 08, 2018 at 01:14:09 AM

You did it! Thanks to your support, Aeon’s End is coming to Steam. And thanks to the Mobile Mages and add-ons, tablet players will only have to wait about 2 weeks to play Aeon’s End on the go (the final count on that is still pending results from backer surveys). THANK YOU!

You did it!
You did it!

So what comes next?

Early next week, our plan is to send out backer surveys to gather your information. We will be running all our post-campaign administration through BackerKit, a great service that streamlines the gathering of backer info as well as delivery of rewards. Watch for an update to see when surveys are available, and you'll get an email too.

Stretch Goals

When the dust settled, you reached both the $32k and $34k Promo-Pack stretch goals which means 2 bonus nemesis cards and 2 brand new player cards will be added to the game. At the final funding amount of around $37.5k, we were about halfway to the first crossover mage, but alas, it wasn’t enough to make it all the way there. However, the story isn’t over!

On our previous campaigns, we have opened up the BackerKit store to allow pre-orders for folks who missed the Kickstarter, and we plan to do the same here. In the past, we have counted any add-on and pre-order sales towards unmet stretch goals. However, BackerKit has a brand new feature that allows us to offer add-on and pre-order sales of an item that will ONLY be charged if we reach a certain threshold. Since there was lots of interest in the expansions, we think this might be a good way to start pre-funding one or more of the expansions that were at higher goals.

As a result, we are releasing a new stretch goal list for the pre-order period that will only include the new mages. In addition to this list, we will be offering add-ons and pre-orders of The Nameless. As the funding for these 2 things will now be separate, their totals differ slightly from what they were when they were all in one list.

March of the Mages

The Nameless

The first expansion for Aeon’s End adds 2 nemeses and 1 breach mage to the game, as well as new gems, relics, spells, and nemesis cards.

.

BackerKit’s stretch goal feature works just like a mini-Kickstarter campaign: If you add it onto your pledge, or pre-order it, you will only be charged if enough other people pledge to make it happen. However, while the Aeon’s End Kickstarter was only 30 days, the pre-order period will last until the game launches into Early Access next year. We’ll have more details when surveys go out, sometime next week.

What about the other expansions? Since this is an experiment, and a new feature of BackerKit, we’re going to start with just the first expansion and we’ll see how things progress. If there appears to be enough interest, we can look into adding The Depths, War Eternal, The Outer Dark, and The Void later.

Thanks for all your support so far, we can’t wait to get Aeon’s End into your hands so you can start saving Gravehold from the Nameless!
