Latest Updates from Our Project:

Crossover Gameplay Stream #1 Today: Xae from One Deck Dungeon!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 25, 2019 at 02:21:55 AM

Xae has fallen into a breach, and she will be arriving at Gravehold to do her part to protect humanity very soon. If you're curious how this new mage will play, join Jeremy today at 1 PM Eastern on our Twitch channel. He'll show you the new mechanics specific to Xae, as well as the new player cards you'll be able to buy from the market. Learn about her vortex deck, her vortex breach and why it's special, as well as the durability mechanic on the new player cards. If you can't watch live, this stream will be posted to our YouTube channel tomorrow. Next week we hope to have the other side of the crossover to show you - Mist in One Deck Dungeon!

Fast Pummeling Occurs? Maybe.
Xae's unique starter helps her buy spells from the Vortex Deck.
Xae's ability is a heavy hitter, but it also culls your deck. Use it wisely!
The new promos are great, but you only get to use them so many times.

Spirit Island

Our next game is more than 2/3 funded! There's plenty of time remaining for us to reach our goal, and maybe even some stretch goals including additional playable spirits, the Branch and Claw expansion as well as lots of other bonuses! If you want to know more about Spirit Island, the designer of the game, Eric Ruess, joined John on the dev stream yesterday. Check it out below, then visit the campaign!

Spirit Island Campaign Now Live!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 11, 2019 at 02:30:26 AM

The campaign for our 5th digital tabletop game is now live!

Help save the island!

The hit settler-destruction, area-control game is coming to Steam - with your help! Check out the campaign and help repel the colonists!

Spirit Island is a deep strategy cooperative game (what can we say, we like the co-op). Players take on the roles of the spirits of the island, and need to work together to build their powers. Protect the land and the native islanders, the Dahan, from the colonizing Invaders spreading blight and destruction!

Just like in Aeon's End, you're protecting a refuge from the onslaught of a seemingly unstoppable force. Grow in power, solve tactical problems, and build a strategy for victory against a wide variety of challenges.

Aeon's End Now Available for Tablets (For Real!)
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 03, 2019 at 03:38:43 AM

Another launch day has passed, and once again we were delayed as a result of App Store shenanigans. Despite the difficulties, Aeon's End is now reliably showing up on the App Store across all locations. (Except Bolivia. Part of the fix was pushing a change to the list of available stores. However, if you are in Bolivia, the game should become available there very soon as well.) If you'd like more info about what's coming next for Aeon's End, you can check out this update. Thanks as always for your patience. Despite the frustrations of the last few days, nearly every single communication we received was understanding and polite, and now Steam, Android, and iPad players are all enjoying the game!

Spirit Island

Now that Aeon's End is out in the wild, we're working on our next game: Spirit Island!

Visit the pre-launch page to sign up to be notified when the campaign is live.

Spirit Island is a cooperative, settler-destruction strategy game designed by R. Eric Reuss and set in an alternate-history world around A.D. 1700. Players become different spirits of the land, each with their own unique elemental powers, forced to defend their island home from colonizing Invaders spreading blight and destruction. Your spirits work with the native islanders to increase your power and drive the invading colonists from your island in this strategic area-control game.

Aeon's End Now Available for Tablets (in theory)
over 4 years ago – Mon, Sep 30, 2019 at 11:29:08 PM

If you've been with us for previous launches, you know how our mobile launch days tend to go, and unfortunately today is no exception.

The Good News: If you are a Steam player or an Android tablet player, all reports are that the game is available, downloadable, playable, and not half bad.

However, if you are an iPad player, the news is less good. Despite our best efforts to stay out ahead of the game by submitting early, and setting up pre-orders a week in advance, the game is still not showing up on the App Store. Jeremy just got off the phone with Developer Support at Apple, and they have assured us they are escalating the situation. Keep an eye on our Twitter, as that is where we will be keeping up with more real-time updates.

We apologize for the delays, and we hope to have more information soon.

Aeon's End comes to Tablets Monday, September 30th
over 4 years ago – Fri, Sep 27, 2019 at 01:48:53 AM

Aeon's End has left Early Access and the Steam community is enjoying the game!

So let's talk about where things go from here.

Tablet Release Monday!

Aeon's End will release on the App Store and Google Play this coming Monday, September 30th.

Gravehold on the go!
  •  iOS: Requires an iPad running iOS 11 or greater
  •  Android: Requires a tablet device 7 inches or bigger with NEON CPU support, running Android 4.4 or greater

The retail price of Aeon's End on tablets will be $9.99 (USD). However, just like how the Early Access pricing extended through launch, the game on tablets will be 10% off for the first week - $8.99. If you want to save some money, make sure you pick it up before Monday, October 7th.

But wait, there's more...

We're trying something new with Aeon's End. iOS offers the ability to pre-order an app once it's been approved, and we're thrilled to report that it has been! We pushed the button yesterday, so in theory, you should be able to pre-order Aeon's End by visiting this link on your iPad. As is typical with Apple, it can take a day or two for items to appear everywhere, so if it's not working for you, just keep trying!

Aeon's End v1.1

Once the game has released on all platforms, we won't be taking a break, but instead we've already been working on the first major update to Aeon's End. It will feature Promo Pack 1 with the unlocked gameplay stretch goals from the campaign. This content pack will include:

  • Xae - playable mage crossing over from One Deck Dungeon
  • Unique starter: Flight - Gain 1 aether. OR Gain 2 aether that can only be used to gain cards from the Vortex Deck.
  • Player Relic: Staff of Wonders - When you gain this, set its durability to 3. Focus any player's breach twice. Lose 1 durability. When this has 0 durability, destroy it and gain 2 life.
  • Player Gem: Glass Core - When you gain this, set its durability to 3. Gain 2 aether. You may lose 1 durability to gain an additional 1 aether. When this has 0 durability, destroy it.
  • Player Spell: Lava Bolt - When you gain this, set its durability to 4. Cast: Deal 4 damage. Lose 1 durability. When this has 0 durability, destroy it.
  • Nemesis cards: Decimate, Baneful Crux, and Unmake.
A new champion arrives!

If you're not familiar with design lingo "FPO" stands for "For Placement Only". You are seeing that in these cards because we're still finalizing things like flavor text and even some naming. But the implementation and playtesting of this content is progressing well. We'll have more info about this content pack soon, but you can check out this update for more info on how Xae's unique mechanics work.

Promo Pack 1 will be added to all Steam copies of the game for free. Tablet players will be able to purchase it for $2.99.

The Future

"What about The Nameless, War Eternal and all the other expansions?", we hear you asking. The answer is - it's too soon to tell. We've said repeatedly that we would love to expand the world of Aeon's End in the future, but when and how that will happen is still an open question. If Steam sales continue to grow, and the tablet launch goes well, hopefully it will be a simple decision, and we will keep you posted.

Thanks for all your support!
